Since last we talked I’ve been busy working on this and that and everything all at once. Balancing on a thin line between over-worked and underpaid. Just the way I like it.

Cake has been consumed and computers have been typed on frequently for long periods of time.

I have spent some quality time with my dog, enjoying the occasional glimpses of sun. And I do mean occasional, the weather has been a big let down ever since I stepped on that snail the other day. Committed snail genocide yesterday with the lawn mower as retaliation. Hilarity might ensue. Or rain. Or both. Judging by today’s sun I’m guessing I’ve won. For now.

I’ve also been dreaming about this place. Pretty beautiful is what it is.

And spent time in this place (the kitchen).

And I went to see LOL at the cinema with my sister. It was LOL. Not sure if I mean that in a good way though. I have a weak spot for Miley Cyrus and Disney Channel people in general. And bad teenage movies.

Why use colors when you can go all black? That is the question. Or that is what happens when you pack mostly summer clothes and the warmest items in your wardrobe end up being all black. I do love black though, its versatility is limitless. -ish. Once you black you never go back, etcetera.

My lack of updates is due to a mix of work and the fact that we are are in the final days of our “moving out of my childhood home”-phase. Spent most of the day throwing away things that I will regret throwing away, like my russ costume and an old class photo. Sentimentality has no place in a world where your storage space is limited and you don’t have a place of your own on this side of the earth. It is obviously time to say goodbye to the old and embrace the new. Wherever that might lead to.

Drinking_black black coffee. Always.
Should be_doing nothing else but this.
Will be_working, sleeping, eating, talking, reading, and so on and so forth.
Looking forward to_this summer. It is going to be a great one and it already is. Mahalo life !

Gotland has been beautiful and oh-so peaceful, and to just have 3 days there was just way too short a time for that island. Gotland, we’ll see each other again in the not so distant future! For now I am located in Stockholm once more and yesterday was their national day. We celebrated it on a boat in the Stockholm harbor with perfect weather, a live band and great food. A “must be repeated”-event for sure. Today we’re going to explore Stockholm before heading back to Västerås to finish packing B’s apartment.

I’m having a great time. (Un)Fortunately the summer house we live in don’t have any wi-fi, so there’s little time for blogging or facebooking or anything. Real vacation in other words. Gotland is as beautiful as I’d hoped and more, and the sunsets here just might rival those in Hawaii.

After 12 hours on the bus and train I finally reached a very cold and rain-filled Västerås yesterday. Today we’ll continue our travels to Gotland in the hopes that we might find Hawaii-like weather there, as mainland Sweden is currently swept in a very cold blanket of rain and grey clouds. Right now it wouldn’t surprise me if it started to snow. So Gotland it is, I read on the train that it is supposed to be the 4th best summer vacation spot in Sweden. Go figure.

Do any of you have intimate knowledge about Visby and its surroundings ? Tips ?

.. and then it was time to move again, explore new turf and meet other friends. Right now I’ve managed to drag what might pose as my body on certain occasions all the way down to the bus and am currently lodged in a seat headed for Oslo and then Sweden. The bus is filled with sleepy old people, the smell of cold coffee and a girl talking way too loudly on her cell phone. I want to smack the latter but realize that it might not be appropriate, even though I feel the circumstances justify the means.

I am going to watch last Sunday’s episode of Game of Thrones again, to shut her out and to relive the wonder that is George R. R. Martin and HBO. (no I will never stop talking about that show).

Inspired by the Bieber fever that was rushing through Oslo I wore my new favorite hoodie from 5preview to be all #swag and such. The Biebster visited Oslo to  host a special concert at the Opera house for thousands of Norwegian beliebers. In other words: Oslo was crazy insane for a couple of days with screaming and teary-eyed fans everywhere. Fun ! I have the same mentality or philosophy – or whatever you want to call it – towards Beliebers as I have towards football fans; if you can’t beat them, join them. And the boy is talented, there is just no questioning that. One day I’ll marry him off to my little sister, and force him to teach me how to play the drums/guitar/piano/basketball. It will be great. Or awesome. Or both. Or maybe just #swag.
