let’s have a movie marathon

Looking at these photos one might think that I’ve been browsing randomly through several screencap sites, picking up picture from here and there, but no, this is actually a movie. ONE movie. More specifically the movie “Valentine’s Day”, set du premiere on February 12th 2010. With a cast consisiting of :
*Julia Roberts
*Shirley MacLaine
*Queen Latifah
*Bradley Cooper (Hangover)
*Anne Hathaway
*Jennifer Garner
*Jessica Biel
*Jessica Alba
*Ashton Kutcher
*Patrick Dempsey (McDreamy <3)
*Eric Dane (McSteamy <3)
*Jamie Foxx
*Topher Grace (Eric in That 70s Show)
*Taylor Lautner (Jacob in Twilight)
*Taylor Swift
*Emma Roberts (wild child) and
*Joe Jonas (of the Jonas Brothers),
Even I have to admit that this is a film I’ve GOT to see. I generally don’t like romantic comedy crap, but once in a while I soften up and actually like what I see (I though “he’s just not that into you” was sweet). And although this smells like a LOVE ACTUALLY copycat-thingy, I at least am going to see it. Who can say no to any film showing Eric Dane without his shirt on.

tea, silver and cups

I didn’t shop much in Istanbul, but among the few things I got to bring home this snake ring (real silver from the Old Market) and silver/gold necklace from Topshop.

First cup in what is going to be an around the world collection from Starbucks and a new fresh termo-cup so my coffee keeps it’s heat during lectures.

Tea, tea and more tea. Those balls on the picture creates enough tea for 6 persons, and when you put them in hot water it opens up into a flower. Jasmin. And then there’s the rose tea that is actually rose buds. And in the black tea box I now have the most amazing orange tea that cleans out your pores and gives you extra energy.

being healthy and stuff

Sunbathing is under-estimated. A 20 min walk and some tan makes for a good morning for me. Last night me and MA walked 7 km around town just in the spirit of being healthy, and we even met a couple of hookers, some thugs and a couple of druggies. Don’t you just love Oslo at night?
Now I’ll just have to make some healthy good breakfast before I give in to the temptation of the bag of chips I bought out of munchi-cravings last night. Can anyone give some self-control please? ;)

tesekkür ederim

Istanbul was gorgeous. The food was delicious, the Turkish coffee brings back such good memories from Israel, the belly-dancers were crazy (the one on the picture above had the SICKEST stomach, it was living its own life, so cool), and even though the city has gone through a radical change towards the conservative Muslim lifestyle (wearing shorts has never ever given me that many looks and comments ever), I still loved the mood and feeling.

SONIA RYKIEL FOR H&M

Yesterday H&Ms new guest-designer was revealed in a press-release, and it’s none other than “the grand old lady of knit” Sonia Rykiel. Her collection will be split into two groups, the first on – which is a underwear collection – will be in stores already on the 5th of November, while the second and larger spring wear collection will be on sale from February 20th 2010. Can’t wait!

the tides are changing

From last March, when we were in Denmark. These pictures needed no editing, the light was just perfect when I uploaded them from the camera. I love the space between winter & spring or summer & autumn. When it’s cold outside, but not so cold that you’re freezing to death, and the sun still transport a tiny whisper of warmth. Lovely.

I like..

Black lashes, pink colors and pearly skin.

Humor.

Those eyes.

Good times with good friends.

Feeling smart and dumb at the same time. Constantly.

Dancing. I MISS it. <3

The longing for summer when autumn has you in it’s grip.

Fantastic and childish movies about fantastic and childish things.

Twilight.

This photo and this dress.

Nostalgia. Guess who’s me..

Books, booze and boredom.
Good night, cupcakes.

you’re tender and you’re tired

FAUX FUR zara DRESS h&m BOOTS topshop RINGS h&m/market SCARF gina tricot
Let’s just ignore the fact that I look angry in this picture, I’m just so incredibly tired and what I really want to do now is curl up in bed and sleep for a couple of days. As usual that is not possible seeing that I have an assignment that is due tomorrow (and another one to write before Thursday) and I’m being a god damn perfectionist about it.
I didn’t buy much in Istanbul (more pictures will come tomorrow), but one thing I did find was the boots from TOPSHOP, and I’m in love. The perfect knee-high, suede, no heel and all around fantastic boots. I’ve wanted them ever since I saw this picture on Stockholm Streetstyle. and when I finally got to topshop in Istanbul they had two pairs left, one in 36 and one in 39. It was meant to be in other words (I am a solid 39).

melting pot

New meets old. Western culture vs Arab culture. Topshop and turkish coffee. Starbucks and the Old Market. Spices. Silver jewelery. Hijabs. Mini skirts. Alcohol = not allowed. Drunk rich kids. Kebab. Smoking. Cats. Tourists. Asia. Turkish Delights. Fake Burberry. Sun. Architectural wonders.
I’m back from Istanbul.

Istanbul

I’m currently seated at Gardemoen with a latte and a frown. After waking up at 4am to drive out to the airport, 1 1/5 hours in line to check-in, a security guy who didn’t like me and loads of chaos we finally found our seats in the airplane, only to be told that the plane was overbooked and that we had to take another flight to Amsterdam. Yay hurray ney. Well, we’ll get to Istanbul anywho, so I shouldn’t complain, I feel sorry for the folks working at the airport when they have to deal with hundreds of grumpy people like me. Creds!
For those of you who wondered, the curls are still kicking it, so I’m really recommending this one (sleek&curl by Remington). You can get the Remington products at Elkjøp and Vita in Norway, for the neat price of about 500 kroner.
Well, anyways, Istanbul here I come!
