give me a blog to read

It’s raining again in Kristiansand, and that means staying inside to play games, read and spend time on the computer. Personally I’ve checked my bloglovin’ fourteen times and realized that I need to find some new blogs to read. And that’s where you come in, dear readers. Can you recommend to me one (or ten) of your favorite blogs? Don’t bother with the most popular ones, chances are I’ve read them to death already.
Muchas gracias.

recommendation

I was drawn to this site by it’s name; FrouFrou, which incidentally is the name of a collaboration between Imogen Heap and Guy Sigsworth that resulted in songs that gave me much inspiration when I still studying dance. This blog also serves as inspiration, and because I want to share things that inspire me instead of hiding them away (like some, who possibly are afraid that people will steal them from them), so here it is. Her style is one of a kind, and her photos are enviable. Makes me miss my Canon d1000.

er det flere som deg?
Til vanlig blir jeg ikke spesielt påvirket av negative kommentarer, de er en naturlig del av det å blogge. Når man eksponerer seg i den grad jeg gjør, så er det mange folk som ikke liker det jeg gjør. Hilsen jante-lov-Norge. Men akkurat denne kommentaren traff.

[EDIT]

private chauffeur

There’s something about going out to get your mail, expecting to find loads of unnecessary advertisement one always throws away, and discover an invite to the launch of Jimmy Choo’s new sunglasses. Combined with the words “private chauffeur”. Am I allowed to say that “I LOVE my life”… ? ;)
NOW, brekfast at Tiffany’s (or just Marie’s) before joining Erik at Aker Brygge to enjoy what will hopefully be a warm and sunny day.

vixen blog awards

// The free magazine Vixen is putting together a blog award, and the site is now open for nominations. So if you want to nominate one of your favourite Norwegian blogs, you can do so here.

newspapergirl

Was featured in an article in the local newspaper today.
They misquoted me, but All PR is good PR, right?
About the readers statistics, I have an average of 13-15.000 unique visitors per MONTH (not day). The number per day is more like an average of 1500. Concerning statistics there’s a big difference between unique visitors and visits; unique visitors monitor every single IP address (in other words; person) that visits the site, while the visits (or page counters) display the number of times someone has visited the site. Different sites like bloggurat, google analytics, statpress, etc use different methods to rank web pages traffic, some value the amount of unique visitors, while others think the importance lies in how many times per day a page gets visited. Now you know. Sort of. Whatever.
Weeeell anyways, you can read the whole article online here (in Norwegian).
They also featured Monique, Lena and Marcus among others. K-town united.

i heart oslonights.

New blog recommendation coming your way, today the spotlight is on: OsloNights.no. Oslonights is one of my absolute favorite streetstyle-based blogs, always around whenever there’s something going on in Oslo, always capturing the people that are funky, edgy or just playing it casual. Whenever I’m experiencing a fashion emergency (which happens about 4 or 5 times a day) I browse through (among others) Oslonights to get inspiration. I like going through the pictures from events I were actually attending, it feels like a very exclusive facebook album then, but my sneaky-stalker-ish side also like looking through the pictures at events I weren’t at, to see who were there, and who they went together with (my own personal and more glamorous Se&Hør. hehe).
All in all I am a great fan of Oslonights, both for fashion purposes and for gossip purposes.
Go visit (and congratulate Rut, it was her bday last Wednesday): Oslonights.no .

paparazzi

Stockholm Fashion Week obviously meant cameras everywhere, both famous magazines (vogue, interview, costume, etc) and bloggers (like facehunter, styleclicker and random bloggers). I managed to look all kinds of ugly in almost every picture I’ve seen so far, but I’m hoping that the picture that might end up in Interview will look smashing. Let’s pray some shall we. Anywho, here’s some of the pictures I have found so far on the world wide web.

T-I-R-E-D. But very ready for tonight. After school from 10-17 today I want to sleep (I’m not used to regular school days anymore) so badly, but the night is still young. Yoga (I love yoga, and not because every celebrity and model in the world does it, as a dancer I started appreciating yoga and pilates looong ago. I recommend it to … well, everyone) in half an hour and then I’m going to the opening of the new hipster-fashionista-übercool boutique: Flashdance.
I’ve started a new and better life today, meaning huge breakfast, small dinner and no candy – hence the screamo-picture at the end here. I am not too happy to give up my daily chocolate, but since I am poor and want to be able to buy some food in Stockholm, saving money is required and to avoid buying food all the time I need to make my blood-sugar pretend like it’s normal for a couple of days. At least until I get money again in the middle of February.
Blog recommendation of the day: SRC783 .
