Plaited beauty

After the success of the last DIY-bracelet batch, I decided to try on a new challenge in the form of a woven chain bracelet. Got the recipe from my favorite DIY-site online: Honestly WTF, and I must admit to a certain pride in the result. Looks pretty good doesn’t it?

All you need is two sets of thread in different color, personally I like blue and green in combination with the golden bracelet (which I ordered on ebay for $2, just search for “curb link bracelets”). You can find the how-to right here.

On your arm: a dreamcatcher

How to make a Dreamcatcher / How to create a basic macrame-bracelet / Buy the bracelet.

I want one in dark purple and another one in lime green or pink. I need it to fend off all the bad dreams I keep having lately.

DIY – i did it myself

Finally got my ebay-orders in the mail, which meant DIY-time at home. Following the recipe made by Honestly WTF I made a couple of these beauties. Super-easy and oh-so wearable. One bracelet in dark green, one in orange and then this one in pink. Next I’ll try to make one with crystal chain instead of brass ball chain.

Do you approve?

After months of daydreaming while browsing through various editorials featuring blondes with pink/blue/green/red/purple colors in their hair, Marie’s decision to add some color to her life was too much of a challenge to do anything but accept. So Julie, Agnes and me installed ourselves on the bathroom floor at my place and for a moment there I felt like I was 13 years old again. I think it turned out quite nicely, and it does make me feel kind of – sort of awesome.

What do you think?

In 2004 I started to write down what books I read in order to keep track of them all. Since 2006 I have gathered them here instead of in my notebook and they serve as a reminder of how I should read more and compete to beat my old “record”. You can find the complete list here.
