Spending the day inside reading Kurt Vonnegut “God bless you, Mr Rosewater”. Would have ventured out and up to the market at Birkelunden, I know a lot of people who’s selling clothes and jewelery there today, but I don’t have any money, and this books is just too good to stop reading now.

Thinking about starting on Kamran Nazeer’s “Send In the Idiots” after I am done with this one, have any of you read it, and if so, can you recommend it?

Pictures from the MNY launch yesterday. MNY is L’Oreal/Maybelinne’s new make up line, and the “numero uno” thing we learned yesterday, is that MNY is all about colors. Usually I tend to go for brown, black or other dark colors, but I am actually quite intrigued by the thought of using more colors, and while it might take a while to add color to my wardrobe, make up might be the first step.

Saida and Maja looking fresh.

No blogger-party without cupcakes, and these tasted out-of-this-world-delicious. (I started drooling at the sight of them..)

Mira and Linn were also among the bloggers attending, and looked quite smashing.

Got some green eyes shadow applied and learnt a great trick that I will put to use tonight. If you apply some black eyeliner and sooth the eye first, and then put the eye shadow on top, those areas will be darker. On the picture the make up artist used a light green tone only, so the part that is almost yellow is the part that is applied directly on the skin, while the green part has eyeliner underneath. Cool, huh?

Lonelygirl89 front row at Oslo Fashion Week (don’t remember which show) wearing pants from Gestuz, second-hand leather vest, top from Flat Top and my ultra-fresh Sony Ericsson W880i.

Oslo Fashion Week was a short experience for me. Less sleep than desirable, less food than what is necessary and just a whole lot of running here and there the last few weeks managed to take hold and forced me eventually to stay home instead of taking part in the great party it probably was. Probably a smart choice, but I was pretty bummed when I didn’t get to go to Gabriella and Cathrine’s grand opening last night (as well as Moods of Norway’s party/show) of their new store: Roe’s Fashionhood. Roe’s Fashionhood is a new concept store situated in Posthallen in Oslo, which will sell Norwegian design only (like FIN, Veronica B Vallenes, TSH, Johnny Love, Tina H, Cecilie Melli ++). Going to stop by next week to see the store, I’ve heard it looks – in lack of a better word – “awesome”. ;)

After two days of rest I am getting ready for a new fashion week, and although I wanted to attend Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Stockholm, economy is an issue that keeps bothering me. I think I need to win the lottery or marry rich soon, because all this prioritizing is making me depressed. Well, anyways, it’s time for Oslo Fashion Week, which means shows by designers such as Fam Irvoll, Nina Jarebrink, Moods of Norway, Batlak & Selvig, Linn Renée Blegeberg +++ My week will look something like this (excluding various after-parties and such):

WEDNESDAY: Springbrett – White Baron- Venti Uno -  Little CupCakes by Fam Irvoll – Batlak og Selvig – Fam by Fam Irvoll

THURSDAY: Bouquet - Mariette - OFW TREND SHOW – Bjørn Borg – ELM – Linn Renée Blegeberg – Nina Jarebrink – Daniel Franck

FRIDAY: Armando Santos – Morami – Grand Opening ROE’S FASHIONHOOD – Moods of Norway

Tonight is all about my aunt who turns 50 today (congratulations!), so I need to empty my bags, get things washed and figure out what I am going to wear tonight.

Will I be seeing any of you during the fashion week?
(Remember, most of the shows will be open to the public, so anyone can attend.)

coco what?

DRESS h&m fashion against aids LEATHER VEST + NECKLACE second-hand BAG 5preview BRA h&m

Started the day with a beer and Simon Rasmussen’s eccentric show at Carlsberg, inspired by prostitutes and hobos. While the two first models poured milk all over themselves and showed off some pretty nasty dance moves (they were good btw!), I did not find it as provoking as it was probably meant to be, but I nevertheless enjoyed the show. Felt nice to have a break from the serious and clean that we’ve seen a lot during this fashion week.

Jumped into the press bus and was transported to the City Hall to see the designer we all love, Veronica B Vallenes and met Celine (love her bracelet). This is btw what Maria has been busy doing a lot the last few days, posing for the camera. No wonder with the clothes she wears (of which most is self-made. Raise your hands everyone who wants her to start her own clothing line right now).

Also met Line – who looked smashing with her hat. Took some pictures at Veronica’s show, but I am not even going to pretend that they were any good (they were crap), so go see them here. Liked her collection a lot, but was disappointed by the fact that she didn’t really bring anything new to the table. You could take anything from this seasons collection and place it in last season’s, and although I would wear just about every piece of the collection, I had wished for something new in forms of the color palette or seams.

The day continued with an all Norwegian show consisting of Iis of Norway, TSH, Undorn and Moods of Norway. Loved this top from TSH and the new shoes from Moods of Norway (will get back to you on a picture of those, because they were really cool and something I would love for my guys to wear), but other than that it was unfortunately pretty mediocre compared to everything else I have seen during this fashion week.

Paraded around with my new bag from 5preview (don’t you love it just a little? I certainly do) outside the Minimarket show, another show I enjoyed very much but which gave me pictures that were pretty much not in any condition to see the light of day. So once again, to see pictures of the gorgeous Sahara/nomad-inspired collection, go here.

Last show of the evening was a magical, mystical and weird show on top of a bridge over a lake in a some park (I admit I didn’t have a clue where we were, had a private chauffeur to the show and took a cab back), put together by the well-known brand Henrik Vibskov. The colors, patterns, fabrics and seams were in traditional Vibskov-style and I concluded with the fact that I would gladly include a lot of the garments in my wardrobe, including some of the very handsome male models.

And then it was party time !

CAPE second-hand LEATHER SHORTS zara BOOTS bianco TOP flat top WATCH sjarm BAG marc jacobs

Spent the first hours of my day today at a cafe called Cafe Europa 1989 at Høybro Plads, reading The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera (nearly finished it now), drinking coffee and waiting for Maria to arrive.

Moved along to breakfast/brunch and champagne at Dyreberg&Kern, and while most of the others stood around sipping on a glass champagne (or orange juice), we were more concerned with eating enough cupcakes than actually getting a good look at the new collection.

Did fall in love with this necklace and it’s not too expensive either, so it might just happen to slip right into my accessory collection. Out of the blue you know, not because I spent my student loan on necklaces instead of food and other so-called vital needs.

Lost one bus, didn’t locate the other and finally jumped into a taxi which drove us to the Danish Design School’s show, which was just about as out-there as bachelor collections should be. This particular “outfit” reminds me of the last VATLE show for some reason.

Felt a sort of childish love for the red scarf around her head, and had to resist pretty ridiculous cravings to make one on my own. Think it looks a lot better on the model than it will ever do on me.

Sat thinking about how these would be the perfect new shades for Monica/Miss Harmonica, when I was hit..

.. by the wonder that was these shoes. I don’t even really want to wear them. I just want to have them on display in my bookshelves. Pretty please?

Had to take a break after the shoe-gasm and calm down with a cup of coffee and force Maria to take pictures of me. 90% featured me with my trademark goofy face, luckily I look sort of normal on this one. Sort of.

After the well-deserved coffeebreak we attended the Official Opening of Copenhagen Fashion Week, and while I thought the clothes being shown (YDE) were a bit boring, I loved the interior of the room, which was located in the City Hall. Almost regal.

Didn’t really get any good pictures from Spon Diogo + Moonspoon Saloon so we’ll just skip elegantly passed those two shows for the time being and continue going through the events of the day. Lunch break meant facebook – mail – facebook – facebook – facebook. Neh, I’m not a facebook-addict. I just like spending 90% of my time on the internet snooping around in other peoples lives and leading a wannabee social life on fb.

Tried to take a decent outfit photo and realized that I probably should have done that about 4 hours earlier when the sun was still shining. Will hopefully learn and don’t do the same mistake tomorrow.

When we got tired of taking breaks we hit the streets and ended up on the Bllack Noir show. Heavily influenced (in my opinion) by Diesels Black&Gold line, I was more interested in the fact that Danish producer, song-writer and X-factor judge; Remee, was sitting right behind us. Probably the only Danish celebrity I know of (except for Mads Mikkelsen), so I was slightly starstruck.

Finished the day with Soulland, a show which contained plenty of eye candy as well as a collection that I certainly wouldn’t mind dressing any of my boys in. Casual, fresh, simple (in every positive way) and very Danish. You can view pictures of the entire collection here.

NOW, bed. <3
